In which cases will it be necessary to provide a PEP declaration?

A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is an individual who is or has been entrusted with a prominent public function. Requirements for a PEP apply to family members or close associates of such people.

When going through the registration, you will have to mark if the account holder or any of the related persons are a PEP or have such close relatives.

Keep in mind that if you have marked that your client or any of the related persons are a PEP during the registration of the company, they will have to fill in a Politically Exposed Person questionnaire. If you have mistakenly marked the option, they would still have to fill it in. Once the declaration is finished, you can upload it in the 'Required documents' section.
